As someone who has been a little obsessed (‘little’ being an understatement) with neutral colors, earthy tones, browns and bohemian vibes for a while, I thought this year would finally be the year to officially update my Christmas decorations to match my current interior. So.. more boho and brown Christmas decor!
Bohemian inspired Christmas tree
My interior consists mostly of woods, bamboo, macrame, rattan, jute. The colour scheme is basically browns, creams and earth tones with pops of terracotta and gold / copper. I like to use the term call it a ‘sand’ or ‘desert’ colour palette.
Weirdly enough, it’s not as easy to find matching Christmas ornaments and decorations. I really had to look far and wide for these lovely picks! But the good thing is – it’s unique!

Give me all the brown and neutral Christmas decor!
I’m one to switch up my Christmas decor on a yearly basis. Every year has a different theme or colour. I’ve got boxes in the attic with icy blue ornaments, dusty pink baubles, a gold and white theme, and so on.
But this year I decided to stay away from those boxes and head to the Christmas store to search for neutral Christmas decorations, so my interior comes together.
But first… I did a quick Pinterest search. Obviously!
After using a few different key words I couldn’t really find… anything. Whether I searched for ‘Boho Christmas Inspiration‘, ‘Bohemian Christmas Tree‘ or ‘Brown Christmas Decor‘, I coulnd’t find anything that came even close to what I had in mind.

… was I onto something new?
So with little to none hope and low expectations, my boyfriend and I went Christmas shopping.. Girl, was I in for a huge surprise!
We managed to fill up a whole shopping cart with boho inspired decor! It made me so happy just looking at it. In hindsight I regret not taking a picture of the cart, because it looked simply beautiful.
Right after we got home we set up our beloved flocked Christmas tree and decorated it with our new ornaments and I am in LOVE!!
I would like to share some of my boho Christmas decor to hopefully inspire you.

Candles
My favorite addition to any Christmas decor theme is candles. Lots and lots of candles. For this bohemian theme I was looking for brown, cream or beige candles and the best pick (in my opinion) is this coconut candle. It’s made of soy wax, so it doesn’t release any toxins when burnt. It has a wooden wick that a makes crackling sound and it comes in an actual coconut (which you can use for other purposes afterwards). It’s TOO cute and cozy and fits the boho theme to a T.
