Are you ready for this review of the ‘Love Beauty And Planet‘ self care line? After using their products for a while, I am comparing the pros to the cons. Are their shampoos, conditioners and body wash as great as they claim they are?
A long overdue product review
It’s been a long time since I last reviewed a product and I only just realised how much I missed doing it! It feels like I get an extra purpose out of my products when I can physically use them AND write about them.
I guess the proverb ‘killing two birds with one stone’ is applicable here. But as I am an avid bird lover (and a bird momma!) I’ll change it to ‘scritching two birds with one hand’. Much better, right?
Love Beauty and Planet
As cheesy as it sounds, the Love Beauty and Planet products caught my eye because of their outstanding packaging. The different variations of their logo is cute and makes use of complimentary colours, fonts and shapes. I’m not exaggerating when I say that they look GREAT in my bathroom.
Vegan hair care
Good news for vegans! Love Beauty and Planet is 100% VEGAN! Personally I am not fully vegan (for reasons!), but I am a strong advocate for anything that helps out this beautiful planet. So my point is, you don’t have to be vegan to love these products. It’s just a big fat plus!
Environment friendly hair products
Love Beauty and Hair uses only recycled packaging and their scents are infused with natural and ethically sourced oils and extracts. How does it clean your hair, I hear you say? With plant based cleansers! Their goal is to reduce the carbon footprint and I am here for it!
No silicones, no parabens, no colourants
Yep, you heard it right. Love Beauty and Planet’s hair products contain absolutely ZERO silicones, parabens and colourants. On top of that their body wash (also referred to as shower gel) has no sulfate cleansers. So if you are looking for a product that is better for your body, hair and health, this might be a winner.
Shea Butter & Sandalwood Oil
So far I have only tried the shampoo, conditioner and body wash from their ‘Shea Butter & Sandalwood Oil’ line, which comes in the brown and green bottles. The packaging of these products say ‘happy and hydrated’ and ‘majestic moisture’.
The smell is undoubtedly ‘majestic’. Woah, it kind of smells like something you’d expect in an exotic spa. The fragrance reminds me of nature: a walk morning through the forest. It is very calming indeed and I genuinely look forward to my showers. I do have to say I’m more of a fan of the smell of the hair products. The body wash has a different scent – but I can’t really put into words what makes it different. It’s still very enjoyable though!
